How do you feel about changing your mind?
About unravelling a decision.
About saying no to something that felt like a wholehearted yes when you started? Or vice versa?
It can be hard to reverse a decision that once felt good.
And yet it’s really important to pay attention to where you are now, rather than where you were when you started.
Because circumstances can change. And so can you.
Maybe you said yes when you were feeling brilliant, and once you slept on it things felt different.
Maybe you said no when you were feeling off, and now it’s more of a fit.
Maybe you had an initial gut response, and then talked yourself in or out of it.
Maybe you got swept up in someone else’s enthusiasm. And when you had a moment to yourself it no longer excited you.
And maybe it’s simply time for something to end, even if it’s been right for a long time until now.
And that’s absolutely fine.
We can often feel that because we’re in something we have to stick with it.
To finish what we started, to see things through to the end.
And yet it’s also useful to pause and take stock, and work out if the decisions we made then are still the right ones for where we are now.
Are there some decisions that aren’t feeling good for you anymore?
And what would you do if it was ok to change your mind?
Wishing you all a week of great choosing,
