This was me in Brighton last week.
I had 2 wonderful nights by the sea, coaching as usual from a different place. Plus leisurely breakfasts, walks along the seafront, yoga, reading, baths and quiet evenings.
Quality time in my own space, with the freedom to follow my energy and empty out - and the added bonus of being a little cooler than London temperatures.
A complete gift.
For a long time I didn’t even consider going away on my own. Solo travel yes - in my teens and twenties - but time away just to be in a difference space? Not at all.
It felt a bit weird to do - leaving my family for a few days without a ‘reason’ - not a business trip, or a retreat, or a holiday with friends.
But I’ve made it a more regular thing over the last few years and I love it.
I recharge and refresh my energy, I see things in a different way, and I come back even more appreciative of my life and the people in it.
Both types of quality time are important for me.
What’s your ideal balance of time?
And what kind of quality time do you need right now?
Wishing you a week of quality time in all the right places,
