What makes you tick?

I’ve always been fascinated by who we are and why we are.

For many years I loved a personality test, a type assessment, a quiz - any way to help me find out who I was and what made me tick.

Most of them were useful in some way - helpful lenses that showed me where I fit in someone else’s framework - but even more useful has been building my own personal understanding, from the inside out.

I especially love knowing:

  • My core nutrients - the things I need in my life and work for it to feel right for me. When they’re there, I’m at my best (and has a ripple effect on the people around me).

  • How to make my best decisions, what it feels like when I do, and how to trust that (it’s rarely about pros and cons!).

  • How to create sustainable change, and the systems, schedules and structures that support it for me (Gretchen Rubin’s book ‘Better than Before’ is a brilliant introduction to this).

They are a brilliant foundation to return to, and things I love to build into the work I do with others, because we’re all uniquely wired.

What makes you tick?

And can you give yourself the gift of knowing yourself from the inside out?

Wishing you a wonderful week,
