Do you need a good declutter?

An old photo of Caroline as a little girl with her Grandma. They are both sitting on a sofa, wearing red jumpers, and looking intently at something small.

I absolutely love a good declutter.

Opening something up, seeing what’s there, clearing out what’s no longer needed or relevant anymore, and then organising the rest.

So satisfying!

Every area of my life benefits from a good declutter, and so does my brain.

The parts I turn to most often are in my surroundings - books, clothes, possessions.

This week it’s been my Kindle library, a whole load of computer files, and my feet in a reflexology session with the brilliant Jo Stoller.

In the past it’s included a very large box of old-fashioned photo slides - sifting through over 900 of them after my dad died to find the ones that held the memories and the memorable moments.

The benefit?

I always feel lighter, clearer, calmer - physically, emotionally, mentally - or all three. There’s space for what’s next - or simply more space.

I can see what I have more clearly, and find the hidden gems - like this photo of me and my grandma from way back. There’s an appreciation for the things that matter most.

Is there a part of your life that needs a good declutter?

Where are you feeling the urge to let go of the old to create space for the new - or simply to create space?

And what might you find when you do?

Wishing you all a week of satisfying decluttering,
