Every couple of months or so I meet with Claire Pedrick for a 1:1 supervision session.
It’s a complete gift of an experience where we unpack and untangle the mushed-up things in my head.
I love it.
How I arrive | With a page full of things that have been on my mind - of thoughts, experiences and feelings that have stuck with me, or that I’m stuck on. I’m so keen to get started! I know there’s useful information and insight in there, but it’s hard to see it as everything is tangled up together.
How I leave | With another page of scribbles, but much better ones - of insight, things to remember, and sometimes something to do. I’m so appreciative! The tangle has been untangled, and I feel lighter, with a clearer head and heart and a spring in my step for what’s next.
What I appreciate | The time and space to unpack my mind and process my experiences, to talk it out and see and hear what’s there. The gift of being listened to and reflected back to. The power of Claire’s presence and perspective and ability to help me see the bigger picture. The wonder of coming to a new inner understanding.
And knowing that I have cleared some space for what will come! Like all good decluttering processes, it’s ongoing :-)
We can all get tangled up - in our thoughts, in our experiences, in our relationships, in our feelings, in ourselves - it’s pretty impossible not to.
So, it’s super useful to take some time to untangle along the way.
Perhaps on our own - through writing, tracking, scheduling in a monthly or quarterly moment to take a step back.
Perhaps with someone who can be a supportive sounding board, perspective giver and resource provider for us.
Perhaps in a group that shares a common goal or intention.
Do you need to press pause? To unpack and untangle where you are so you can see what’s needed and what’s next?
And who or what could help you do that?
Wishing you all a week of useful untangling to see more clearly,
