I love these new signs on the gates in Bushy Park!
I’ve spent years trying to open them the wrong way, or from the wrong side - and now I can get it right.
For my husband they are irrelevant (just look at the hinges!), but for me they are a game changer.
It’s a small prompt that makes it easier for me to do the right thing - and it’s nice to know it wasn’t just me who could use the information :-)
It’s a useful reminder that we could all use some help sometimes - especially when we’re trying to make a change in our lives or our behaviour, figure something out, learn something new, try something for the first time, or come up against something that constantly trips us up or slows us down.
Often our default can be to get cross and frustrated with ourselves for not being able to get it right first time or do it on our own, but there’s nothing wrong with having a support structure.
And it doesn’t matter if other people don’t need the same thing - we’re all beautifully different.
We don’t have to keep trying to do it the hard way, we can make it easy.
Is there something in your life that you’d love to take the struggle out of?
And what would make it easier to do the right thing?
Wishing you all a wonderful week,
