Do you have an unfulfilled dream?
A long-term goal or something you’d love to experience?
A secret - or not so secret - vision for how you’d love your life to be?
So often we can squash these down.
We focus on all the reasons why they can’t happen and tell ourselves it’s realistic thinking - if they will never happen then why even try?
But if we let them out and take a good look at them, they can be super useful!
They show us what we’re longing for, what we’d like more of in our life, what matters to us.
If we give ourselves permission to take them seriously (and not always literally) we can explore their edges and their essence and get to the heart of what we’re looking for.
And when we understand that, we can find ways to experience a taste of them, to scratch the itch a little, to take a practical step towards our dreams and see if the reality matches our expectations.
We can ask ourselves:
What’s a scrappy or smaller version we could do with the resources we have available in the next few weeks or this year?
What’s the essence of what we’re looking to experience, feel, or be able to do - and is there another way we can meet that need?
If we were to build a bridge between now and where we’d love to be, what would be the easiest, tiniest step on the way?
Do you have an unfulfilled dream?
If you explored it seriously, what can you learn about what you’re looking for?
And how can you bring it into your real life - just a little, and right now?
Wishing you a week of paying attention to your dreams,
