What’s good in your life?

I’ve had many beautiful examples of what’s good in my life over the last few weeks - the flexibility to expand my horizons and have new experiences, thoughtful gifts and messages, connecting with people who I feel most myself with, doing work that lights me up, and so much more.

It’s a wonderful dose of good energy, and a reminder to acknowledge and appreciate what I have - because it can be easy to forget!

And I know I’m not alone.

When we’re caught up in the busy day to day of our lives it can be easy to take what’s good for granted.

It can blend into the background and become part of the scenery, plus there’s a natural tendency within us to focus on what’s not working, where we’d like to improve, what we’d like to change, what’s left to do - a built-in negativity bias.

So, it’s helpful to actively balance the scales!

We can reflect on:

  • What’s good in our life right now?

  • What do we love to do? Who are we with and what’s happening around us?

  • What are 3 things that we’re proud of having achieved?

  • What’s a really good decision we’ve made?

  • What do we feel most appreciated for?

  • What parts of our lives are going well?

  • What - or who - brings out the best in us?

It’s a lovely thing to do - not to force positivity, minimise our challenges, or ignore what needs to be faced - but to appreciate what else is there too.

What’s good in your life?

And can you bring it a little more front and centre, so you can see what you have to build on?

Wishing you a week of good energy,
